Peanut was sick

I wanted to get a few opinions - I had a pretty sick little boy a couple of weeks ago. In the morning I felt a little moisture on my head, but didn't think too much of it. (He was sitting on my head). In the afternoon he was on my shoulder when I saw him throw up. I thought - maybe regrugatation?? Then it happened again and again and again. This was NOT Regrug. He was sick! So I put him in his small cage with dry food and water and put a little bit of ACV in his water. Money was VERY tight so I really didn't want to take him to a vet - I would have if he got worse!
What, other than a trip to the vet would any of you have tried?

You did exactly what I would have done. Glad he is feeling better. Any idea what he might have been sick with?

I try to put ACV in their water a couple of times a week, but hadn't in a while. I really don't know what made him sick. I have been fighting mice in the kitchen. Now, I KNOW they didn't get to the poison - that is well hidden. But I do wonder if they might have chewed on something the mice crawled on or pooped on.
Anyway, I did get a message to Betty - CJ I know you know who she is. She told me to make some ginger tea out of ginger root and give him. Wouldn't you know I didn't have any ginger root!! But I did have some crystallized ginger, so I rinsed it off as well as I could and gave him a bit that night and twice the next day. I think that did the trick. He didn't make much noise for a couple of days, but is back to normal - for him! LOL
