easter?

Well, Easter is just 6 weeks away! Dose anybody have any plans to make Easter special for their birds? Sure, our feathered ones don't know the first thing about Easter, but any reason to spoil my baby is a good reason for me! So far, I plan to feed Maxwell, my sun conure, some 'birdie bread', give him a little stuffed rabbit-shaped dog toy that hopefully he won't destroy (I'll be sure to check it often to be sure he hasn't torn a hole in it), and sting some flowers through the wires of his cage to make it seem nice and springtimey. Perhaps I'll even put some plastic eggs in his cage with treats inside for him to try to open, but I'm not sure how well that would go over. Dose anybody else have any ideas? =)

Mine always get a bite or two of the hard boiled eggs when I eat them.

Do you ever feed them eggs at any other time?

Yes. Other than what they get in thier 'birdie bread'. I give them some scambled, sometimes with a little cheese, on pieces of toast. Not too often, maybe 2-3 times a month.

I personally don't think so and have been feeding eggs for 30 plus years. My breeder has another reason, he says they will eat the eggs they lay but that never happened to me when I was breeding.
