I want to be able to bring the birds out in there travel cages when the family swims and bbq's outside.
we use a charcoal grill.
if they  outside and on the other side of the patio from the bbq...can they be out there?
is the smoke harmful?
its not directly facing them...just in the general air.
it'd be nice to have them be a part of our family days outside.

thanks.

It isn't the smoke thats harmful but the gasses that grilled meat outputs. I would think if they are as far away from the bbq as possible it would be ok or better yet bring them out after the meat is grilled.

I agree.  Also, not too close to the pool - all that chlorine isn't too good either.  Always something isn't it?

I agree with both responses......one of the reasons birds have wings "free birds" is so they can avoid what can hurt them....in a controlled enviroment it is best to take no chances at all...if you have the question in your own mind as to what might not be right....you have already answered your own question....in this case is breathing smoke a good thing....NOT
